What is the donor site for eyebrow transplantation?
The donor area to be harvested can generally be the nape of the neck due to the suitability of the hair structure, or it can be selected from the scattered hair follicles around the eyebrows. Hair from the donor area grows differently after transfer to the eyebrow area. The hair on the scalp grows with 1-4 follicular units contained in the hair. However, the eyebrow hair grows as a single unit of hair. Therefore, the collected follicular units should be separated from the donor area before transfering to the eyebrow area.
